There's not that much information available in English for Ai no Kusabi

Ai no Kusabi is not a new series, in fact it's not even recent. Especially not in the ever changing anime world. The original magazine story was published in June magazine starting in December of 1986 running to October 1987. The story was then edited by the author Yoshihara Reiko and published in novel form in 1990. What the exact date of the anime is I'm not entirely sure, it has an air of being futuristic but at the same time it's an older vision of what futuristic might be. A lot of leftover 80's shoulder pad images happening here. Just take a look at the Blondie's wardrobes. The vehicle styling is also larger and less rounded than one might expect. The hover bikes are very cool though.

Who did the art? I'm not sure. I'd love to know and give credit where credit is due.
Same applies to the music, there are a number of cds available that include music but again I don't know who the composer or performers were.

How popular it was in Japan I don't know either. Purchasing the original tapes is an expensive proposition but they can still be had and every once in a while someone will put a copy up for auction but these are in raw Japanese, not titled.

What I can offer is a list of seiyuu. Who they are and what else they have done that you might recognize. I find it fascinating how these actors will move from varying genres, how you can have a voice from Pokemon turn out to be some badass nasty in different anime. Just goes to show how versatile and talented they are.
